Message From Our President

I’m Bro. Keith Chaney, Jr., and I’m honored to serve as the newly elected president Zeta Kappa Sigma Chapter (ZKS) of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. of Boston, MA. ZKS has faithfully served Boston and its surrounding communities since it began in 1977 with our founders, Bro. R.K. Fields, Bro. C. Davis, Bro. C. Boatman, and Bro. G. Ganges. March of 2025 will mark 48 years of commitment to Massachusetts, and it is my sincere hope that we will continue this legacy for years to come. As we begin this year, I wanted to share our mission and vision and extend an invitation to both our brothers and the community to join us in our efforts.

To the Brothers of Zeta Kappa Sigma

As we move forward, our mission for 2025 is clear: “Thundering Back Along the Lines.” This mission is about reigniting the Sigma spirit—returning to our roots of brotherhood, service, and leadership, and expanding our impact in our communities. We want to bring back the energy and unity that has defined our chapter and invite you to be part of this resurgence. We’re reaching out to you, our brothers, to reconnect and make a real difference. Whether you’ve been away for a while or are already actively involved, there are many ways you can contribute:

Become an active participant in our programs and events as we work to grow Zeta Kappa Sigma in New England.
Affiliated brothers, stay connected with us and help us spread the word about the initiatives and opportunities available.
Support our mission with a donation—whether it’s financial, time, or resources. Every contribution helps us amplify our efforts.

If you’ve been away for a while or simply want to get more involved, we encourage you to reach out and let us know how you’d like to participate. Together, we can continue to build on the foundation that has made Zeta Kappa Sigma what it is today.

Zeta Kappa Sigma is dedicated to creating positive change in the New England area, particularly through community outreach, mentorship, and service. Our chapter’s mission, “Thundering Back Along the Lines,” is about building a more cohesive environment where our brotherhood, scholarship and service connects with the needs here in Greater Boston area.
